How it works:
The 3KW TURBO ELEMENT transfers heat to water through convection heat exchange, as seen in the illustration below. As the water around the element heats up, the difference in water temperatures throughout the geyser initiates the convection process. Colder water in the bottom of the geyser is drawn into the internal heating chamber of the element and the water is heated up to 95°C within moments. The heated water is spurted from the top of the heating chamber continuously and heats up the entire contents of the geyser in a fraction of the time it would normally take.
In addition to the convection heat exchange, the increased outer surface area of the element also contributes to improved heat transfer to the surrounding water. Combined these result in the improved operation of the TURBO ELEMENT as compared to any other element on the market today.
So How Do You Save Energy?
It is quite simple. The Turbo Element is a convection element that heats the water much quicker than your normal geyser element without requiring more electricity. As it takes less time to heat the contents to the desired temperature, it uses less kilowatt units per hour. Where your normal geyser element runs for up to an average 7 hours per day consuming up to 21 kW hours, the Turbo Element will only run on an average 4 hours per day consuming around 11- 13 kW hours. You can calculate your saving in Rands, by using the following equation:
3kw (150lt geyser element) x 3hrs (saving) x 30 days = 270kWh p/m
270kWh x R1 (average rate per kWh) = R270 p/m x 12 = R3 240 p.a.

Turbo Element and Solar Geysers
Solar heated geysers only operate at its optimal level when there is adequate sunlight for extensive periods to heat the water to the desired temperature. When this is not the case, it uses electricity and functions as your normal electric geyser. The Turbo Element can transfer the same benefits to your solar geyser as in the case of the electric geyser and therefore your solar geyser will be up 40% more efficient when running on electricity. The Turbo Element ads to the efficiency of the solar geyser and can shorten the return on investment for solar geyser systems and save additional electricity consumption.
